Snoring prevention

While most people who snore don’t seem to be losing any sleep over it, it may be a source of tension to anyone else within earshot. So be kind to others and follow these hints to help prevent snoring.

•          Lose weight

•          Eat an earlier dinner

•          Keep your mouth closed with store-bought products made specifically for this purpose

•          Use a nose-guard to open up the nostril

•          Sleeping on your side is better than sleeping on your back, which tends to encourage snoring

•          Sometimes, allergies can cause snoring so check with a doctor and take your allergy medication

•          Alcohol and/or sleeping pills can lead to snoring because they cause relaxation of the tongue and soft pallet at the back of the throat, which can cause snoring

•         Surgery is an option but should only be considered as a last resort
